I have had a few exercise bikes over the years and found that you get what you pay for most of the time. I purchased one for under $100 and found that it only held out for about 3 weeks before things started falling apart. That is when I decided to go a bit higher on price and found the Schwinn Airdyne AD4. I have had Schwinn’s before and I know that they are remarkably built machines.
While I was paying a bit more than I really wanted to, this AD4 has shown me that quality is tied directly to price as this is one of the best built bikes I have ever owned. One of my close friends had purchased this Schwinn AD4 Upright Bike and wanted me to give it a shot to see how great it was. I wasn’t too impressed with how it looked, but I went ahead and got on just to make my friend happy. Amazingly, I found that this is one of the best exercise bikes I have ever tried. I find it is actually better than the one I use at my gym and, subsequently, purchased one of these from my home.
